Elections Matter, But Not So Much To Your Investments

As the saying goes, elections have consequences. However as this above whitepaper demonstrates, the consequences don’t materially affect returns for longterm investors.  That is not to say, that in the short term election winners will not have any impact on sector or industry performance.  Which it most likely does depending on which political party ends up in control. Nonetheless, the winning political party will likely have minimal impact on our clients overall strategic asset allocation but more than likely have an impact on our client’s tactical asset allocation.
